Lakes and Seas

THIS is my very first painting I did when I was at art group in the old town.  It's the only one that does not have the sides painted as I did realize to do that.  It's my favorite type of paintings, drawings etc that I tend to do - tree, water, land.  Under it is the original first, first painting of just playing at painting.  It looks like a tornado in it though.

Nice painting of mountains reflecting in the water at night.  (Sort of)

This one didn't really turn out.  The idea was a night scene with a girl/woman in a boat with trees/shoreline in the back.  Then stick on butterflies leading the boat.  She has a gold staff to push the boat with.  Idea was good, painting is so-so.  😟

Back to another lake and shoreline, done with line trees.

This one makes me sing.  Originally I had used the wooden board to glue on a picture - podging.  It didn't work, and I pulled off the picture.  It left a square on it.  I just at first painted it with blue to clean slate it. Then I wondered, threw on some other blue, some brush squashes of white... suddenly I started seeing it looked like an ocean with high waves.  It needed something.  I thought a boat would be obvious, but as above my boating painting isn't the greatest and I really liked the ocean.  Thought of putting something totally out of the usual - like a cat or a pot.  In the end I decided to try I tiny little sail boat.  And yes it worked!  Funny after I looked just in front of the sail boat is a white or blank dot - guess it's leading it!  And the singing?  Rachel Platten - Fight:  Like a small boat on the ocean, sending big waves into motion......

Birds of a Feather

I wanted to paint something one day.  Looking at my one painting of a hill with trees and the face in it, I thought I'd do a hill and tree idea. Tried a winter scene.  Liked it but needed something.  So in the left is a Cardinal.  Can't see unless you really look.  (Doesn't show in the picture, so I took a close up of it)

Cardinal

Dollarstore usually has something to paint or do.  These two birds are yellow and on purple background with black trim.

In art class (old town) I found an oval block and the bird.  Hummm.  Thought they work together.  And I could do it as a sticky saying idea.  Let the bird say things.  Since the moving/selling of the old house - the bird's still saying the same thing!  Really have to come up with something new.  ha ha ha   (Used the wording This is It so that when someone came to see the house, they would maybe see it and subconsciously think:  This is the house to buy! - don't know if it worked as we really didn't have many come to see the house.....tho the 2 that did see our house made offers.  Maybe it did work?)

Stain Glass

When Michelle came over to paint with me, she had plans to do a 'stain glass' painting on glass.  I had bought some stain glass colours from a dollarstore.  Did a quick little cat one that is cute.

Then I worked on another type of one.  This has white glue and paint in it.  At the old house on the light on the post outside I had painted on a cat with wings.  Because I had to leave it, I thought I'd redo it as a stain glass.  Then because the picture had two glasses to it, I decided to add some puff balls between them.

One day I had read a saying that I really liked.  Decided to see if I could do a stain glass with it on.  Made it super simple.  Added the sticky butterfly on the outside of it.

Saying

Looks like this when not against a window.

Liked the idea of doing pictures on glass, only have to watch to get the right backing - not ones with the hook on the inlay board.  But ones with the ability to hook on the frame.  Hence a few I have I need to figure other things out with them.....or just put a usual photo in them!

Daisies!

Here are the Daisies!  This is the craft I did at my sister's one day.  She likes to do Stamping and cards.  She's added in crafts like the daisies - which I went to one of her classes.  Next will be a card class in July.

They turned out lovely I thought.  Hubby thought they were delightful...said, you know, every time I look at them I think they are really nice.  Thanks, sweetie.  😘

Decided I just can't leave it at daisies.  Adding in a few more of flowers that I have done.  This below is a simple flower on a canvass that I had given to my aunt for her birthday.  She liked it.

Below are Wishes.  Had read about using a paper roll to make the fluffs.  Turned out well for a first attempt.

This was a foil art work of leaves.  I painted it over with clear and sparkles as I felt it needed something to it.  As I cut out the leaves, then glued them on, I decided this type of foil work is not for me.  It was tricky and not easy to glue down, hence the over paint of sparkles.  Kinda looks like fishes ........ or sperm!

Little Mixes

Here are a few mixes of little painting I've done:

These are paint pours that were left over and I put the canvass into the paint.  The smaller one has a few 'stones' attached.

These are from the old class that I did.  Thought the bottom one with the animal (whatever animal you think it looks like, ha ha ha) is good.

Again a left over paint pour with added 'stones'.

This one turned out, but it doesn't show well.  It's all one colour (red) with a dash of cream lightly on one side.  Some places have heavier colour as I had put thick paint under it.

This was a specific paint pour that was planned, not dipped in.  It turned out beautiful and I really, really liked it.  Has a lot in it.  Even in the sliver there are what appears to be wings.  It's the painting I give my cousin, Regina.... that I don't know if she liked it, kept it, or threw it away (if she did, I wish she would have given it back to me 😩 )

From the Very Olden Days

I tried hard to get this photo as the glass shines.  It's a painting of the moon (as you can see), fire and there is a stick person at the fire.  Then mountains with a very tiny crack and two eyes looking out.

About 20 years ago I had done these photos as part of my own work in healing.  Even then I liked painting and art.

An eye is the bird and an outline of a woman.  The trees turned out well.

Part of what I worked on was leather.  Done with shells and rocks and gem stones.

Needed help outlining the lynx but the rest I did.

I love this one!!  I had started water colouring without a plan, and as it continued I saw the mountains, water and sunset.  I then outlined it all with black ink.  It still brings me joy when I look at it.  It cuddles me for some reason.

Paper Art

These are from the old art group I went to, and as usual, they are last minute, almost time to go, what am I going to dos?

Simply get some paper, some watercolour paints and.......

Started this one with the brown line and realized it was a person so I continued making the person.  Because I had done the 'square' that made the arms I had to make it as they were doing something upwards.

This one ended up as a quickie fall scene.  The rocks are real and look neat against the painting.

One of the first ones I did at the art group.  I had ended up putting in sparkles that I couldn't get in the photographing of it tho.  It looks like fairies on a hill.

I don't do much watercolours, might get back into it one day.

Chakra

I know, it's late - but it's still Sunday!!!  ha ha ha  Made it to post with 2 1/2 hours to spare.

Newer ones that I did lately.  When I went to see Ann-Marie, who does Reiki, I had thought I'm going to make her a painting.

This one was done specifically for her -  she was thrilled -

Then I did one thinking of me.  Funny was that it bubbled.  Don't know if you can see but in the dark purple the blue bubbled into it, also the orange into the yellow.  There is a bit more that I don't think show.

I had left over paints in the cups so I thought I'd do one more to finish them off.  It turned out very different!  I wonder whose it is.

Me

Just an FYI - I'm aiming to post on this Krystal's Colours blog on Thursdays and Sundays as it's basically just creations...... and eventually I will get thru all that I have!  Today being Thursday, here it is.  😺

So, a few months ago AJ (hubby) replied to me.  I had asked what should I paint?  He said, paint a naked picture of yourself.  Huh.  Yeah, hubbies.  I thought, eh, why not.  So I went into my art room and worked away at a painting of me naked.

I showed him the painting......

AJ said it wasn't exactly what he was thinking.  I thought it was great!  Perfect!  Told him, seriously, you think I can paint that well?  It's a great photo of me naked.  ha ha ha.

I love the butterfly above it too.  It's a little painting with just some paint colours on it and from the $ store those butterfly sparkles put on.  Here's a closer photo of it:
